This is my one entry for the semester. :) It's been a good semester.

The first difference this spring is me getting a new roommate, Denise. We'd met only once before moving in together, but we are definitely a good match. Not only did we get to move into a much larger apartment in Garrett Hall (than the old Allegany), but the rest of my roommates are not rude, inconsiderate, or smelly. Our bedroom is pretty cool, too. It's arranged so that we both have a side of the room, but they are a lot more integrated. That might be because of the decorations, or it might be because I watch TV on her side and she uses the closet on mine. (We share a cool dressing room/walk in closet!)

Another change is that we've made good use of the apartment. I now have lots of opportunity to cook for myself if I choose to. There has never been any conflict about lack of space on the counter or in the cabinets. We even have empty drawers! Of course, Denise and I won another room decorating contest. Most importantly, we've used the living room area for parties :).

Themed parties are great. We've gone through with the SMUT goal of getting dressed up by having a hugely successful Cocktail party. We cooked up 6 kinds of appetizers (cucumber sandwiches, shrimp cocktail, mini raviolis, pigs in a blanket, crab legs, veggie plate) and all sorts of mixed drinks. More than 40 people showed up! The last party we had was a sorta surprise birthday party for Denise. This time the theme was "anything but clothes." Outfits consisted of saran wrap, duct tape, post it notes, little stickies, towels, and sheets. The rule "no drinking allowed until the clothes are gone" worked wonderfully. All drinks were purchased by 21 year old me :) I'm a very bad influence.

Academically, things are pretty cool. Will built me a new computer for my birthday, which has been a ton of fun (after a little bit of trouble). I took 6 classes this semester, 4 of them requiring group work, making a couple cool friends. I had a chance to work on major projects which actually made me learn a lot of new things. I am now an 'expert' on constructing Data Flow Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Gantt Charts, CRUD Matrices, Pieces Analysis, quality brainstorming, SQL, and a bit of Oracle. Unfortunately, this leaves me with only 2 classes in my major to take next semester, and only 1 for my final semester. My adviser was wondering if I was considering Marketing as a second major because of my elective course selection!

Right after exams, Will and I are going to OC for a mini vacation. For the summer my plans include an internship at Chuck's company (Chuck's the best for handing in my resume). I have a new car (2002 V4, Navy Blue Accord LX) so I will be happily driving around everywhere. In the fall I will move into a rented house with 5 of my bestest friends and drive to campus for classes!
